Hi Jon and Tim Thanks for replying and yes I will post what I find, although I feel a bit behind the times at the moment, I had a bit of a lull over the past 6 months with trying to study and work full time, so just trying to pick up the pieces agai…

Hey Diane Also fine with me. And would love to see summary of the dissertation findings also. Are you able to join us for the conference in Wales next week? I'm hoping we can get a discussion together there about what research has already taken pla…

Hi All I've just re- read this discussion thread as I prepare to start thinking about typing up my dissertation in which I have been researching in part around this. Would any one mind, if I quote some of what is said, obviously I would acknowledg…

Hi Tony, Thanks for the feedback and for posting the guidelines here - I'm sure they will come in handy for many people. When I've got some time, I'll go through them properly and see how they might work for our organisation. Again, thanks for sha…

Jon, I think the issue you raise here about professional boundaries is very important. In my view an online engagement with young people should respect exactly the same boundaries as would apply in face to face practice. It may be useful to look at…

Hi Tim - I intend to upload all the outcomes from the day and when we reach the stage of policies - those also! Twittering is interesting... but am I becoming a stalker of the rich and famous?

Hi Jon, Im good, hows George williams? I had my graduation on Friday at the Canterbury cathedral which was nice. Work is good and Im trying to get the use of media and sns stuff more integrated into our work. Things are going well, also because I had fun enjoying the snow yesterday, back to work tonight though. I hope you are doing well, it looks as though you are by your movie.

Thanks for the reply..

If you can form some sort of question or challenge around how you might want to use social networks in your work and drop it into the forum then I'll try to marshal some new network members to come over and start exploring possibilities :)

Exploring how social networks can be a tool for Youth Work is definitely much needed...

Wow! I didn't realise you could customise these pages... looks good.

Welcome Jon..

Would be great to hear about any ways you've been using social media / exploring new technologies for youth work in Littlehampton (and beyond).

In the research I've been doing for the Youth Work and Social Networking project we certainly found that church based projects were often far more active using social networks than their statutory sector colleagues... does you experience match up with that?
