We all know that the Internet can be used for extremely destructive purposes. Advances in technology have made such possibilities ever easier. Internet pornography, abuse of social networking sites such as Facebook and using webcams intrusively are all examples of a new type of crime wave, and also create new psychological problems. All of these problems are particularly relevant to young people and those who work with them.
The influence of the new media and their potentially corrupting messages pose a new challenge to us all. The aims of this event are to provide an opportunity for professionals to think together about ways to respond to these new influences. The programme will include clinical presentations from residential and outpatient services.
Fee: £150 (£120 per person for groups of 3 or more)
